Good Friends & Good Workplace fun

So, I have been a little busy lately and not posted in a while. Thought this would be a nice funny one to share.

Been back to work full duty for about two weeks now, which allowed me to return upstairs to my normal office. When I got to the office – there was plenty to do, and plenty of fun that was waiting on me as well. A few plastic knives on my desk, but the best was an article on Hunting Knife Safety. I have to say, my friend put a little work into looking this up.

The leg is getting better. Physical Therapy is almost finished, and I have gained a lot of strength and flexibility back. Here are some pics of it – in a chronological order of healing.

I added a Parrot CK3000 Evoultion to my truck the weekend before, and this weekend I added a device that lets me use my stock radio to play my iPhone through the Aux. I love them both, they work well together and give me the features I wanted. When a call comes in, it slowly mutes the volume of the music and then I can take the call – hands free. Nice. I got them dirt cheap too, an electronics store was going out of business – and had them on a huge sell. I would have never got them if not, I knew I wanted them, but they were always pricey.

Jace got a new 2011 Suburban – for a Chevy product I like it. We opted not to get the DVD system installed from the factory – figure on getting one on our own – or using the portable DVD we have or even better – get the kids some iPads later on. Oh yeah! lol

We played a private gig over in Wolforth a few weekends ago – it went all right, but right before the gig our drummer bailed on us. So we had to readjust and all. I think I am going to actively search for some songwriters now and hit a few songwriter nights instead of the band thing – too much drama and crap involved with a band.

On the flip side, Red Yetti did two Audio consults this weekend. It was awesome using the new acoustical analysis software. We’re busy compiling reports now. We have a possible job back in Palestine around April 1st, so let’s hope it pans out.

Oh yeah, if you read this far – then you need to check out mint.com. It is totally free and it is a great tool for setting up your personal budget. Craig told me about it, and I found myself getting everything lined out and budgeted in about 2 hours. That was for all the way back to the first of the year. It will help you out at tax season too by showing you where some of your expenditures went and their amounts. Anyway, check it out – mint.com.
