Everything Else,  Life

Been busy, but it is all good.

So, I have not posted anything on here since March. Then, I had been back at work for a few weeks – returning from the injury. Work has been busy, and then you add in Red Yetti, and life in general…then you know why you don’t have a blog, and why I have not posted in a while.

Red Yetti is going along pretty good after we decided to re-focus our efforts toward acoustical treatment, analysis, and configuration – as well as web, and iOS applications, graphic design and professional printing for churches and small businesses. It was a little rough at first on the re-focus, but it is panning out now, and we have plenty of work to do.

Everything is closed on the new lake house, and we did spend a weekend down there. We moved some things over from the old place, I did some fishing, etc. George decided to stay down there a couple weeks – well three. He did some tinkering around the new place and old place. We’ll be going down there again for vacation this year, and I will make a point to go during hunting season and hopefully for a Red Yetti retreat or something LOL.

Spring is here…heck summer is here (103 F the other day) and I have went on a few rides. I rode out Buffalo Springs, saw a weird house built out of steel (see pic). Rode the Slaton loop down through the canyon. Went to the Post rally, that was not worth paying to get in, so I didn’t go in. LOL I rode to Abilene and back with Eric, Brandon, and Juan. It was a fun day, we all had some good laughs at each other. Especially talking about Eric and how ‘buff’ he is. LOL

Oxy has undergone a bit of a re-structure since the GM Dillion left. We have two new GM’s now. M. Kelly has been promoted over all the CO2 plants in the Permian. I am going for an interview with the HES department. I go Thursday and I hope it is a good move – I hope the money is right, or  I guess I won’t take it.

Keagan had her birthday party. Had all her little friends over. I interviewed them to see what kind of people she was hanging with. They let me in on some disturbing news, that actually checked out. They told us that there was on 6th grader and two 7th graders pregnant at Cooper Junior High. Crazy. I threatened to kill them all if any of them got stupid like that. She got an Xbox 360 Kinect, which has gave the family hours of entertainment. She also got a pair of Tom’s – shoes that are ugly as hell. The Xbox is pretty neat technology though. Voice and motion recognition – impressive for something with Microsoft on it.

Anyway, there is a post – time to eat and get ready for work in the morning.
