Well, everyone seems to be on the “getting better” side of the stomach bug that’s been going around. I know I feel a lot better. My little pirate, Kade, is feeling himself. He is the one to blame for all the sickness…he brought it home. In fact Saturday, I could not just sit around anymore, so I called the “handy man” himself, Craig, and we worked on my patio.

Well, I thought I missed the illness going around with only a one day bout. Turns out that I was way wrong. Little Kade had it, then I got a small bit of it, then Keagan came home with a full dose of it. My in-laws are down with it really bad. Then I got a second run with it – bad this time. My wife – immune. What gives? I have never been sick so much in my life. Anyway, asking for prayers of healing. I feel much better now that the fever is gone, but I don’t want to get to far ahead of this thing. It’s evil!…

Tomorrow marks another first day of school for Keagan. We spent the day today finishing up on some shopping, which seemed like a day of buying shoes. LOL I think we bought 4 pair of shoes for her. I remember when I was growing up we had one pair of “school” shoes, and one for chores/play. WOW, I think I am getting old.

We pulled in the drive around 2PM yesterday. We were all glad to be home, but miss everyone we visited too. Coming home feels good no matter where you’ve been. There is no place like your own back yard. Except when it was like mine – needing to be mowed and trimmed. LOL Jace, the kids and I have a refreshed look on life after visiting everyone up in Ohio. Well, we headed out for St. Louis today on our way back to Texas. If you did not get the update, we voted not to go to Nashville this year. Jace, and the kids held the majority on the vote to stay in Ohio and visit family. I really wanted to hang out in Nashville, but I got something even better…more time with family.  One of the best perks, for me personally, about staying in Ohio a couple extra days was getting the chance to attend lodge with my Grandpa, Uncle, and two cousins.
